I also got it wrong (an excess of Tiger, probably)it was 1974. If you like the dude, there's also some seriously good Ryan Adams stuff on there, some fantastic Calexico and a great Japanese Surf Guitar band, the Surf Coasters.

I'll have to get that Little Feat boot myself. When I was in L.A. I did a vinyl rip of Lowell George's first solo album, one of my faves, and have been listening to that a lot the last few weeks.

Thanks Eann, I remember you also. Yep, he's still as miserable as ever... he made some comment to me last night which was as obscure as always (after a $4 jug of Tiger, everything becomes obscure) - I think he said that I could be the Roswell to his Johnstone, or something like that... maybe it's that Outer Space thing again or did he mean Johnsons? I still miss their hot pies so much...

It's great to see you out there in cyberspace. As a fellow smalltown-north-of-scotland boy I can remember you from times gone by! You skipped out (ouch, sorry) on us so long ago - but I always thought you and J would make a helluva team. Say hi to J and A and O if you see them. He sounds as grumpy as ever in the piece you quote from him, but I do miss his blogs. You've got a lot to live up to, but this'll do nicely for starters!
